The Experience of Working With Me

Here is what to expect once you inquire with me!

Want to know what it will be like working with me? Well I’ll tell you! I will make the whole experience start to finish easy and enjoyable. We will create some amazing photos together and will have a great time doing it too, because photography is supposed to be fun!

After filling out a contact form, the first thing that we will do is hop on a phone or video call together to make introductions and talk about you, your photos, and your vision. During this call we will get to know a little bit about each other. I’ll ask about the photos you want, the story you want to tell, your goals for the photoshoot, and when we are both available to do the shoot. We’ll also just chat a bit so see if we vibe well and are a good fit for each other. I will give you a quote for the shoot for your to go over. Check out my pricing here.

Once we have decided that we are a good fit for each other (exciting!), I will send over a simple contract and details on paying a deposit, and you’ll have your day booked! Next we get creative, determining how we can best tell your story through your images. This is where we make decisions about location, outfits, poses, props, etc. I will offer as much or as little advice as you want. If you just have a general tone you want to achieve, and want me to chose every thing to get us there, great! If you already know exactly what you want and just need a professional to capture it, also great! Even for just a standard business headshot, there are ways we can make the photos more “you” and resonate better with your target audience.

Feel free to ask me any questions about the shoot. I will be your information booth for anything you might want to know regarding the photos. If you want some info before reaching out, I have some blogs that might be of use!

The Power of Professional Portrait Photography for Telling Your Story

What To Wear For Your Professional Headshots

From this point until the day of your photo shoot, I will be available to you as a resource for advice, answering questions, brainstorming ideas etc. I will be there for you to make this as easy of an experience as possible!

On the day of the shoot, all you need to do is show up and be yourself. The actual shoot portion is often the step that my clients are most nervous about, but it always ends up being the most fun step! My job is to make you feel comfortable and enjoy your time in front of the camera (and I’ve gotten pretty good at it too!). The shoot will be as directed or as candid as you like. I can give you specific posing guidance or just let you immerse yourself in the moment and be there to capture it.

After the shoot, your job is all done. I will get to editing your gallery of photos. Gallery delivery typically happens 1-2 weeks from the day of the shoot, but that can change based on your deliverables and my current workload. I will give you a timeline for editing ahead of time so there are no surprises and you are not sitting around waiting for you pictures with no idea when they will be done.

Once editing is complete I will send you an online gallery containing digital files of the edited photos. You will be able to download both web sized and full resolution versions of all of the files (there’s not pesky fees for downloads at the end of the shoot). Prints will also be available for purchase if you would like to see them hanging up on your walls! It’s definitely the best way to experience photos.

This was a general walkthrough of what you can expect from working with me. My goal with this process is to provide the most amazing experience that I possibly can and for the photos to be exactly what you want!

I hope you’ll reach out and we can get started on this amazing journey together.
