My name is Will Weeks. I founded and run Stone’s Throw Productions. I have spent years perfecting my craft of capturing amazing portrait photos that tell the story of who you are as a person (couple, family, business, etc.). I believe every photo tells a story and that it is important for is to be true to you, your ambitions, you emotions, and your experiences. I want to connect with you so that you can feel comfortable and confident during your photo shoot, and so that I can capture your essence in the photos.
I don’t believe in the whole cookie-cutter, one size fits all approach that many of the large corporation studios will offer you. Every person and every shoot requires a different approach because you didn’t come to me to get the pictures that you could get just anywhere. You came to me to get pictures that truly represent you and tell a more interesting unique story. I want you to feel like these photos truly represent your, your story, and your goals.
Even if we are just doing some headshots together, I want to learn about your industry, your personality and the impression you want to give people the first time they see your picture. I often will ask you if someone were to describe you in three words, what three words would you hope they used. I know, that’s a tough question, but you can start thinking about your answers now ;) These sorts of questions will help me get the photo to fit your needs and be more “you”.
We will work together to create images that are truly yours. You will tell me about yourself, your goals, your vision, and your audience, etc. and I will give my recommendations/input on how we can match those things.

What Makes Stone’s Throw Productions Different
Photography is Supposed to be Fun!
So many people I work with are terrified of the camera or very nervous about being awkward or doing something wrong. I totally understand that feeling and there is nothing wrong with feeling that way. Modeling is a whole industry and being completely comfortable in front of the camera is a skill on its own. Just remember that this is not live tv. We can take as long as we need to get what we need. All of the awkward faces you’ll are safe with me and will never see the light of day. There is no judgment and it is my job (not yours) to make sure you are looking good and that the pictures will turn out awesome.
I will work with you to guide you to more natural, confident poses and expressions. I’m not going to just point a camera at you and say smile. If you have something on your shirt, I’ll tell you, if you have some flyaway hairs, I’ll fix them, if your smile looks weird, I’ll make a fool of myself to get a real smile out of you. All you have to do is show up, be you, and relax! This isn’t a formal setting, let’s enjoy our time together because, like the title says, photography is supposed to be fun!
If I am photographing an event for you (including engagements) then we will do a lot of the work ahead of time. we will get together to go over the schedule and locations of key events. We will establish secret signals or things to look for so that I am always one step ahead ready to capture every important moment. I also will be a positive presence at your events. I can be fun and make people feel at ease, or I can stay out of the way and be a fly on the wall. We will figure out a strategy to best capture the story of your event so that the day of, you can just enjoy yourself!
My Ideal Customer
I want to work with fun people. I want to create amazing photos. My ideal customer is someone who wants to tell a story through their pictures. That could be just a teaser about your personality through a headshot, making the viewer desperate to learn more about you. That could be an insight into your personality, showing off your hobbies, interests, and overall vibe to develop instant connections. That could be the story of a relationship, capturing the goofy interactions and fond memories you share with your significant other. That could be the story of an event that you organized, making those who attended relive the amazing time they had and those who did not attend, regret it.
Even though, much of my work is posed, with carefully controlled lighting and locations, I still want there to be something real behind the motivation of the photos. These photos don’t simply look cool, they represent you. If that is important to you, then let’s talk.
